Tomer Shahrabani
Middle School Theology
Tomer Shahrabani was born in Royal Oak, Michigan and grew up briefly in Atlanta, Georgia and in Tel Aviv, Israel. Tomer moved from Israel to Colorado during his 3rd Grade year, and is still grateful for the warm welcome he received from the community here in Colorado. In 2017, Tomer has earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver and his Master of Arts in Theology and Christian Ministry from the Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2021. A convert from Judaism and Baptized at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Parish in Easter of 2012, Tomer considers the understanding of the Jewish Roots of Catholicism to be of paramount importance for those seeking a close relationship with the Lord Jesus. His goal as a Theology teacher is twofold: to facilitate a positive relationship between the students and Christ & His Church, and to inspire a sense of awe, wonder, and curiosity about God and the things of God in the students.
Aside from academics, Tomer enjoys a wide range of things, such as spending time with friends and family, martial arts training, card games and video games, watching movies, reading books, drawing, and gazing at the stars in the night sky. He agrees with a saying attributed to St. Teresa of Avila that, “God is good, but God and chocolate is better.” He loves dogs of all kinds, and if given the opportunity to safely rough-house with lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) he would jump at it in a heart-beat.
Tomer is very thankful to have been given the opportunity to teach here at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic School.
