Laurie Breetz
Math
Mrs. Breetz grew up and went to college in Dayton, Ohio but has called Colorado home since 2003. She attended Catholic schools through college, earning a bachelors degree in Elementary Education at the University of Dayton and a Masters degree in Differentiated Instruction from Graceland University in Iowa. After college she spent a year volunteering with Boys Hope Girls Hope as a house parent in their residential program in Pittsburgh. Mrs. Breetz has taught middle school students in Denver Public Schools and Cherry Creek Schools since 2004 and math is her favorite subject.
Both Kairos (HS) and Metanoia (college) retreats most deeply shaped her faith journey. Mrs. Breetz and Mr. Breetz first attended Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Denver (where they got married) and then they joined the OLOL community in 2014. Her favorite part about Our Lady of Loreto is the genuine kindness that students and staff show toward each other.
Outside the classroom Mrs. Breetz spends time with her husband and three kids; she loves yoga, arranging flowers, cooking, baking, and is an Avalanche hockey fan.
