Father David Bluejacket
The son of an American Indian father and an Irish-American mother and the youngest of their five children, Fr. David was born and raised in southwest Denver. As a child, he attended Catholics schools and entered the seminary after his graduation from high school. He received a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph College Seminary in Mountain View, CA and a Masters of Divinity degree from St. Thomas Theological Seminary in Denver, CO. Ordained to the priesthood in 1988, he has served in six parishes throughout the metro area: in two as an assistant pastor and in four as a pastor. Of his six assignments, four of them have been at parishes with Catholic schools. He has been pastor at Our Lady of Loreto since 2016.
